Placements24 is seeking a strategic and experienced Procurement Manager to lead purchasing operations from Centurion, South Africa. This senior role requires developing and executing procurement strategies, managing a team of buyers, and delivering cost savings and efficiency targets.

The position is fully remote within the region, demanding strong self-management and clear communication. You will oversee supplier selection, contract negotiation, risk management, and performance monitoring

Qualifications

• Master's degree in SCM, MBA, or related field.
• 10+ years in procurement/strategic sourcing with 3+ years in management.
• Proven track record in negotiations and large supplier contracts.
• Expertise in risk management, cost analysis and category management.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience with e-procurement systems and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing and procurement plans.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the procurement team.
• Negotiate high-value contracts with key suppliers.
• Maintain robust supplier relationship management programs.
