Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Sourcing Specialist to join the procurement team in a fully remote capacity from South Africa. You will develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives to achieve significant cost savings and improved supplier performance across multiple categories.

You will lead complex negotiations, manage key supplier relationships, and perform in-depth market analysis while collaborating with internal partners to align procurement with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in SCM, Business, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and procurement.
• Proven track record of delivering substantial cost savings through sourcing initiatives.
• Expertise in negotiation strategies, contract management, and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for key spend categories, focusing on cost reduction and value creation.
• Conduct market intelligence and supplier landscape analysis to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Lead complex negotiations with major suppliers, including RFx processes, contract development, and price benchmarking.
• Manage relationships with critical strategic suppliers and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with internal partners to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
• Monitor global supply chain trends and advise on impacts and opportunities.
