Placements24 is seeking a Senior Process Safety Engineer to join a fully remote team by contributing to the safety and integrity of Oil & Gas operations worldwide. You will lead in developing and implementing robust process safety management systems, conducting hazard analyses, and promoting a strong safety culture across the organization.

The role focuses on PHAs, HAZOP, LOPA, and what-if studies, reviewing procedures, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years in process safety engineering within Oil & Gas.
• Knowledge of PSM elements and hazard identification techniques.
• Experience with SIS and quantitative risk assessment (QRA).
• Familiarity with API and NFPA standards and regulatory compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication for global remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage Process Safety Management programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in process safety engineering, specifically within the Oil & Gas industry.
• In-depth knowledge of PSM elements, hazard identification techniques, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Experience with safety instrumented systems (SIS) and quantitative risk assessment (QRA).
• Strong understanding of relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., API, NFPA).
