Placements24 is seeking a proactive Process Engineer to join a remote team focused on optimizing mining operations. You will drive efficiency, safety, and sustainability through modeling, data analysis, and engineering expertise, guiding implementations remotely.

The role emphasizes independent work, strong collaboration with on-site teams via virtual channels, and delivering reports, feasibility studies, and performance analyses to support operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, metallurgical engineering, mining engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in process engineering in heavy industry or mining operations.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (Aspen Plus, HSC Chemistry) and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of chemical processes, thermodynamics and fluid dynamics relevant to mining operations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and remote-collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize mining process parameters to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop and implement process simulation models to evaluate proposed changes and identify optimal operating conditions.
• Identify opportunities for technological advancements and recommend new equipment or software solutions.
• Collaborate with on-site operational teams and management through virtual channels to guide implementation of improvements.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance through process design and monitoring.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, feasibility studies, and performance analyses for remote review.
