Placements24 is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead design and technical direction for large-scale solar, wind and storage projects in a remote-first environment. You will mentor distributed teams, set high technical standards, and ensure delivery from concept to commissioning.

The role demands 15+ years in electrical engineering, with PhD or Master’s in Electrical Engineering and proven leadership. Remote work with occasional virtual meetings outside standard hours is expected.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in Electrical Engineering (Power/RE).
• 15+ years in electrical engineering with renewables.
• Proven track record leading large renewable projects.
• Deep knowledge of grid integration, protection, energy storage.
• Experience leading remote teams and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical leadership and strategic direction for electrical engineering aspects of renewable energy projects globally.
• Develop and refine design standards, methodologies, and best practices for solar PV, battery storage, and wind energy systems.
• Lead complex electrical system design, including grid interconnection studies, protection schemes, and power quality analysis.
• Conduct advanced technical reviews of designs prepared by engineering teams across different locations.
• Mentor and guide a diverse team of electrical engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
