Placements24 is seeking an organized and enthusiastic PR Assistant to support their client’s communications team in Kimberley with an entry-level role that offers hands-on experience in public relations, including remote work options. You will draft press materials, help coordinate media events, monitor coverage, and support media databases while learning from mentors in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant coursework in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting press releases, media advisories, and other PR materials.
• Support the coordination of media events and press conferences.
• Help maintain media contact databases and track media coverage.
• Conduct research for PR campaigns and provide summaries.
• Manage administrative tasks for the PR department, including scheduling and correspondence.
• Monitor social media channels for relevant mentions and engage as directed.
