Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Remote Public Relations Lead to spearhead our PR initiatives from anywhere in South Africa. You will develop and execute innovative PR strategies, manage media relations on national and international scales, and elevate the company’s reputation in a fully remote setting.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s in PR/Communications and 10+ years in senior PR roles, with proven leadership of remote teams and strong crisis management skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• 10+ years in public relations with leadership experience.
• Proven success in high-impact PR strategies.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Crisis communications and reputation management experience.
• Experience with media monitoring, analysis, and reporting tools.
• Strong leadership with remote teams management.
• Fluency in English; other SA languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies.
• Lead and mentor a remote team of PR professionals.
• Manage national and international media relations.
