Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to oversee power generation facilities in a fully remote role. You will drive operational excellence, optimize performance, and manage budgets while leading a remote team across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has at least 10 years in operations management within power generation, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of plant systems, safety, and regulatory compliance. MBA is a plus; a flexible, autonomous work arrangement is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical) or related technical field required; MBA considered a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of operations management experience in power generation or related energy sectors.
• Proven track record leading large-scale power plants (thermal, hydro, renewables) with strong regulatory compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage day-to-day operations of power generation facilities, ensuring optimal performance and output.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Manage operational budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Oversee maintenance and reliability programs for all plant equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering continuous improvement and accountability.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations within the scope of operations.
