Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Remote Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Electronics to join a globally distributed R&D team. You will design, simulate, and validate high-frequency power converters from a home office, contributing to next-generation power management solutions for diverse applications.
The role requires a Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Electronics and 7+ years of design experience, plus proficiency with LTspice,
Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Electronics.
- At least 7 years of professional experience in power electronics design and development.
- Proficiency with LTspice, PSpice, MATLAB/Simulink.
- Experience with PCB layout for high-power density applications.
- Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, simulate, and develop power electronic converters (AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC) for demanding applications.
- Select appropriate passive and active components, balancing performance, cost and reliability.
- Conduct thermal, EMI/EMC analyses, and stability assessments.
- Develop test plans and validation methodologies for prototypes.
- Collaborate remotely with firmware, mechanical engineers, and product managers.
- Stay updated on advancements in power semiconductor devices and converter topologies.
