Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Pharmaceutical Data Analyst to support operations in a fully remote setup across South Africa. The role focuses on extracting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets from clinical trials, sales, and research, informing strategic decisions.

You will develop dashboards, perform statistical analyses, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with R&D teams to optimize study design and product development pathways.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst in pharma or life sciences.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), R.
• Experience with Tableau and Power BI for data visualization.
• Strong knowledge of statistical methods and data privacy compliance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and transform large datasets from clinical trials, sales, and research databases.
• Perform statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in pharmaceutical data.
• Develop and maintain data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Support research and development teams by providing data-driven insights for study design and analysis.
• Monitor KPIs related to drug development and market performance.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and adherence to data privacy regulations.
