Placements24 is seeking a Senior Pharmaceutical Data Analyst to join a remote-first team in South Africa. You will extract, analyze, and interpret complex datasets from drug development, clinical trials, and market trends to influence strategy, pipelines, and commercialization.

The role requires 5+ years in pharma/biotech data analysis, proficiency in R or Python and SQL, and experience with Tableau/Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Statistics, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of data analysis experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
• Proficiency in R or Python, and SQL for data extraction.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Develop data models and analytical frameworks to identify trends in pharmaceutical data.
• Collaborate with R&D, clinical ops, and marketing to define data requirements and deliver reports.
• Perform statistical analysis on clinical trial data to assess efficacy, safety, and outcomes.
• Use visualization tools to present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure data integrity with robust validation processes and best practices.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to methodological improvements.
