Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Pharmaceutical Data Analyst to join a remote South Africa-based team. You will collect, clean, and validate large datasets from clinical trials, manufacturing, and market research to derive actionable insights for decision making.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, has proven data analysis experience in pharma or healthcare, and is proficient with SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy) or R, plus Tableau or Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics/Mathematics/CS)
• Proven data analysis experience in pharma or healthcare
• Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy) or R
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI and data visualization
• Strong understanding of statistical methods and communicating insights

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from clinical trials, manufacturing, and market research
• Perform statistical analysis and data mining to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize KPIs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, marketing, sales) to understand data needs and deliver insights
• Ensure data integrity, privacy compliance, and data governance
• Contribute to data models and predictive analytics tool development
