Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to join remotely from South Africa. You will perform QC testing on raw materials, in-process and finished products, using validated methods and analytical instrumentation, while ensuring GLP/GMP compliance.

The role requires a chemistry/related degree and 3–5 years of QC experience, with strong documentation skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical quality control or analytical testing.
• Proficiency with instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR.
• Strong knowledge of GMP/GLP and regulatory guidelines (FDA, SAHPRA).
• Excellent documentation and attention to detail, able to work independently in remote settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality control testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using validated methods.
• Perform laboratory analysis using HPLC, GC, spectroscopy, and wet chemistry.
• Document testing procedures, results, and observations per GLP and GMP.
• Investigate out-of-specification results, identify root causes, and implement CAPAs.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment for accurate testing.
• Prepare and review QC reports for regulatory submissions and audits.
