The role requires 5+ years in pharma QC, a Bachelor’s in Pharmacy or Chemistry, and proficiency with HPLC, GC and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Mentoring junior staff and maintaining lab standards are key components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry or related field.
• Master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical quality control or similar lab.
• Experience with GMP/GLP and SAHPRA or regulatory standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing on materials and finished products using HPLC, GC, UV-Vis.
• Develop, validate and implement new analytical methods per standards.
• Review data, generate certificates of analysis, document activities.
• Investigate OOS, deviations and CAPAs with root-cause analysis.
• Maintain equipment calibration and mentor junior analysts.
