Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Penetration Tester (Ethical Hacker) to join their elite security team in a fully remote role. You will identify vulnerabilities across digital infrastructure, applications, and networks, conduct simulated attacks, and deliver actionable remediation guidance from anywhere, with operations originating from Upington and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in penetration testing and ethical hacking.
• Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux.
• Strong understanding of common web application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) and network protocols.
• Certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or GPEN valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive penetration tests on web applications, APIs, networks, and cloud environments.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and security scans to identify weaknesses.
• Develop and execute custom exploit code and attack vectors.
• Document findings in detailed reports, including risk assessments and remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with development and security teams to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed effectively.
