Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Penetration Tester to join the security team in Nelspruit. You will proactively identify vulnerabilities in networks, applications, and systems, simulating real-world cyberattacks to strengthen defenses.

The role requires strong offensive security skills, proficiency with Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux, and excellent report writing to articulate risks and remediation steps. Certifications like OSCP/CEH are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Penetration Tester or in a similar ethical hacking role.
• Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux.
• Strong understanding of web application security, network protocols, and common vulnerabilities.
• Excellent report writing skills, clearly articulating technical findings and risks.
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or GPEN are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on web applications, networks, and cloud environments.
• Identify, exploit, and document security vulnerabilities using a variety of tools and techniques.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and provide detailed reports with actionable remediation recommendations.
• Develop and maintain custom scripts and tools to aid in the penetration testing process.
• Stay current with the latest penetration testing methodologies, tools, and exploit techniques.
• Collaborate with development and IT teams to communicate findings and guide remediation efforts.
