Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Penetration Tester to join the security team in Paarl. You will proactively identify vulnerabilities across systems, networks, and apps by simulating real-world attacks and documenting actionable remediation steps.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of pentesting experience, knowledge of OWASP Top 10, and proficiency with Burp Suite, Metasploit, and Nmap. Certifications such as CEH/OSCPGIAC are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of penetration testing or ethical hacking experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and network security principles.
• Relevant certifications such as CEH, OSCP, or GIAC are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration testing on web apps, APIs, networks, and cloud infrastructure.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and provide detailed analyses.
• Develop and execute test plans to simulate advanced attack scenarios.
• Document vulnerabilities with potential impact and remediation steps.
• Collaborate with development/IT teams to prioritize remediation.
• Stay updated on the latest exploitation techniques and tools.
