Placements24 is seeking a skilled Penetration Tester to join a premier cybersecurity team in Polokwane. You will proactively identify vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications through rigorous testing and simulated cyber attacks to strengthen defenses.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of professional pentesting experience, strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10, and proficiency with Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in professional penetration testing.
• Proficiency with Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), web technologies, and OWASP Top 10.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on web applications, APIs, networks, and mobile applications.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and security audits to identify weaknesses and misconfigurations.
• Develop detailed reports outlining findings, risks, and actionable remediation recommendations.
• Utilize a variety of penetration testing tools and methodologies to simulate sophisticated attacks.
• Stay current with the latest penetration testing techniques, tools, and industry trends.
• Collaborate with development and IT teams to provide guidance on secure coding practices and system hardening.
