Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a precise and reliable Payroll Administrator to manage payroll processes remotely for our client in South Africa. You will ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, while complying with SA tax regulations and labor laws.

Key duties include processing bi-weekly or monthly payroll, maintaining employee records, handling reimbursements, and responding to payroll inquiries. The role offers flexible remote work and opportunities for professional development in payroll

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Solid understanding of SA payroll regulations (PAYE, UIF, SDL) and labor laws.
• Proficiency with payroll software such as VIP Payroll or Sage and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, deductions, and labor laws.
• Maintain and update employee payroll records (new hires, terminations, changes).
• Process employee expense reimbursements and other payroll-related payments.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and payslips.
• Liaise with HR and finance to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
