Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Occupational Health and Safety Officer to support mining operations. This fully remote role focuses on developing robust OHS policies, conducting remote risk assessments, and driving safety culture across multiple sites without on-site presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Registered with SACPCMP or Saiosh.
• Minimum 5 years in OHS, preferably mining or heavy industry.
• Knowledge of OHS legislation and incident investigation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain OHS programs and policies.
• Conduct remote risk assessments, hazard identification, and investigations.
• Provide training on OHS best practices to site personnel and management.
• Monitor compliance with OHS laws and company standards; implement corrective actions.
• Maintain OHS records and prepare management reports.
