Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Mine Operations Manager to oversee remote mining operations, driving safety, production, and efficiency. You will develop strategic plans, manage budgets, and lead a dispersed workforce acrossopen-pit and underground environments.

The role requires a strong track record in mine planning, safety protocols, and executive leadership, with a focus on delivering results in a remote setting and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mine operations management.
• Proven leadership experience managing large operational teams and complex projects.
• In-depth knowledge of mine planning, safety protocols, and operational best practices.
• Excellent financial acumen and budget management skills.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities for a remote leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all day-to-day mining operations, including production, maintenance, and safety.
• Develop and implement strategic operational plans and budgets to achieve production targets and financial goals.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mine supervisors and operational staff.
• Monitor operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including internal departments, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
