Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Health and Safety Advisor to support mining operations across South Africa. This fully remote position focuses on policy development, risk assessments, training, and incident investigations to uphold health and safety standards.

You will advise on OHSA/MHSA compliance, deliver online training, maintain records, and implement corrective actions from a remote location, contributing to worker well‑being and operational safety.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH/SAMTRAC or equivalent OHS qualification.
• Experience as Health and Safety Advisor in mining.
• Strong knowledge of SA OHSA/MHSA.
• Excellent remote training and reporting skills.
• Proficiency with safety software and virtual tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies for mining operations.
• Conduct remote risk assessments and audits for regulatory compliance.
• Develop and deliver online health and safety training modules.
• Investigate health and safety incidents and near misses; implement corrective actions.
• Advise management on HSE regulations relevant to mining.
• Maintain health and safety records and regulatory reports.
