Placements24 is seeking a Remote Occupational Health and Safety Officer to support mining operations. This fully remote role involves developing and implementing robust OHS policies, conducting remote risk assessments, and ensuring compliance across multiple sites from a distance.

You will drive safety culture, provide training, and maintain OHS records while coordinating with management to enforce standards and continuous improvement in safety performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in OHS.
• Registration with SACPCMP or Saiosh.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive OHS programs and policies.
• Conduct remote risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident investigations.
• Provide guidance and training on OHS best practices to site personnel and management.
• Monitor compliance with OHS legislation and company standards, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
• Maintain OHS records, statistics, and prepare regular reports for management.
