Placements24 in South Africa is seeking a highly qualified Remote NLP Engineer to join a globally recognized AI innovator. You will design, implement, and deploy NLP models that enable machines to understand and generate human language, contributing to scalable, remote-friendly products.

You will work with Python, spaCy, Hugging Face, and deep learning frameworks, collaborating with product and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD with NLP focus.
• 3+ years of NLP model development experience.
• Proficiency in Python and NLP libraries (NLTK, spaCy, Transformers).
• Strong ML fundamentals and deep learning knowledge for NLP.
• Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch and cloud platforms AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Excellent analytical and remote-work communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy NLP models for text classification, sentiment analysis, NER, MT, and summarization.
• Implement and fine-tune architectures including transformers (BERT, GPT).
• Process and analyze large textual datasets with feature engineering and cleaning.
• Collaborate with product managers and software engineers to integrate NLP into scalable apps.
• Research new NLP techniques to boost model performance and explore new ideas.
• Evaluate and benchmark models for accuracy, efficiency, and robustness.
• Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
