Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Remote Network Support Engineer to join a distributed technical team. You will provide critical remote support for network infrastructure from home or approved locations, diagnosing and resolving complex issues while ensuring high availability across clients in multiple time zones.

In this role you will handle Tier 2/3 support, monitor networks, perform remote changes, and document configurations.

Qualifications

• Desired experience in network administration and remote troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing (BGP/OSPF), switching (VLANs/STP) and firewall management.
• Experience with SolarWinds, PRTG, or Nagios for monitoring and diagnostics.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; able to explain complex concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 remote support for network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs).
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify issues to prevent outages.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex connectivity and performance problems reported by clients or internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
