Placements24 is seeking a skilled Remote Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our distributed IT team, supporting operations across regions, including our Port Elizabeth hub. You will design, implement, and manage scalable network infrastructure that supports cloud and on-prem environments.

The role emphasizes security, high availability, and performance, collaborating with cloud engineers to ensure seamless service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years in network administration and infrastructure management.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, and other network protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues, latency, and bandwidth problems.
• Implement and manage network security measures, including intrusion detection/prevention systems and access controls.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with cloud engineers and system admins to ensure seamless integration of network services.
• Plan and execute network upgrades and migrations to enhance performance and capacity.
