Placements24 is seeking a results-driven National Sales Manager to lead FMCG sales remotely across South Africa. You will strategize, build a high-performance national team, and drive revenue growth from a home office.

The role requires 8+ years in sales leadership, strong virtual communication, and a proven track record with remote teams, CRM and sales analytics tools. You’ll partner with marketing and product teams to expand market share and exceed targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• MBA or equivalent is a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales management, with a significant portion in FMCG.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and leading remote sales teams to achieve targets.
• Exceptional understanding of sales strategies, market dynamics, and customer relationship management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, adapted for a virtual setting.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
• Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and expand market share.
• Strong leadership qualities and a passion for mentoring sales professionals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive national sales strategies to meet or exceed company objectives for FMCG products.
• Lead, coach, and motivate a remote sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Set clear sales targets and performance expectations for individual team members and the national team.
• Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and distributors nationwide.
• Develop and manage sales budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to ensure alignment of sales and marketing efforts.
• Implement and oversee sales processes and systems to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide regular sales reports and performance analyses to senior management, highlighting key achievements and areas for development.
• Conduct virtual team meetings and one-on-one sessions to provide guidance and support.
