Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Mining Engineer to focus on process optimization across extensive mining operations. This fully remote role aims to enhance efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness by analyzing data, identifying bottlenecks, and developing innovative solutions from a remote setting.

You will work with site-based teams and management, design and simulate improved mining processes using ARENA and AnyLogic, and leverage Excel and Python for data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of mining operations and process engineering experience.
• Proficiency in ARENA, AnyLogic and data tools (Excel, Python).
• Ability to work independently and manage remote projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mining data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement process optimization strategies.
• Design and simulate improved mining processes.
• Collaborate with site teams and remote departments to deploy changes.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on proposed improvements.
