Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management, with mining sector knowledge.
• Proven experience in conducting environmental impact assessments and developing management plans.
• Familiarity with environmental monitoring techniques and data analysis.
• Excellent report writing skills and the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess the environmental impact of mining activities (water, air, soil).
• Develop, implement, and manage environmental management plans and rehabilitation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and local environmental legislation and permits.
• Prepare detailed EIAs and compliance reports for regulatory submission.
• Conduct environmental audits and site inspections to identify risks and non-compliance issues.
• Provide environmental advice and training to operational teams to promote sustainable practices.
• Stay updated on environmental regulations and best practices within mining.
