Placements24 is seeking a proactive Mine Planning Engineer for open-pit operations. You will lead strategic planning, optimize designs, and integrate resource models with geologists and management.

This remote role allows collaboration with on-site teams while delivering robust long-term plans. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Mining Engineering and at least 6 years' open-pit planning experience, with proficiency in Deswik, Vulcan, or Minesight, and strong analytical and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in open-pit mine planning and design.
• Experience with Deswik, Vulcan or Minesight and resource integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute short-, medium-, and long-term mine plans using advanced software.
• Optimize mine designs, pit shells, and production schedules for profitability.
• Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for mining projects.
• Collaborate with geology teams to integrate resource models.
• Ensure plans comply with safety, environment, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor performance against plans and adjust to improve outcomes.
