Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Mechanical Systems Analyst to join our distributed engineering team. You will analyze performance and reliability of complex mechanical systems, identify failure modes, and propose design improvements to extend life and efficiency.

You will leverage FEA/CFD tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL) and data analytics to deliver actionable insights. This role emphasizes independent work and effective virtual collaboration across time zones.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on analysis or simulation.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in mechanical systems analysis and simulation.
• Experience with FEA/CFD software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, and COMSOL.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical vibrations, fatigue, and materials science.
• Proficiency in Python or MATLAB for data analysis and scripting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform theoretical and computational analysis of mechanical systems under various operating conditions.
• Utilize FEA and CFD software to simulate stress, strain, thermal behavior, and fluid dynamics.
• Develop data acquisition strategies for performance monitoring and diagnostics.
• Analyze test data and simulation results to identify root causes of failures or performance degradation.
• Recommend design modifications and optimizations to improve system reliability, efficiency, and safety.
• Create comprehensive technical reports detailing analysis findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with design engineers and R&D teams through virtual meetings and shared digital platforms.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in mechanical analysis techniques and simulation software.
