Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Mechanical Engineer to join our remote engineering division, leading mechanical design, integration, and validation of complex mechatronic robotic systems from your home office.

You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and scientists in a remote-first environment, mentor junior engineers, and drive innovation across CAD/FEA workflows using CATIA, SolidWorks, ANSYS, and Abaqus.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and systems engineering for mechatronic or robotic systems.
• Expert proficiency in CAD and simulation tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, ANSYS, Abaqus).

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and integrate complex mechanical systems for robotic platforms.
• Lead mechanical design, subsystem selection, and overall architecture.
• Perform advanced mechanical analysis (stress, thermal, vibration, fatigue) using FEA.
• Develop CAD models, drawings, and BOMs for complex assemblies.
• Oversee prototype development, testing, and validation.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, and controls engineers for integration.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Define mechanical requirements and specifications for new development.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Stay abreast of robotics and automation advancements.
