Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Analyst for a fully remote contract position. The role focuses on evaluating performance, reliability, and efficiency of complex mechanical systems using FEA and analytical modeling.

Candidates should have strong theoretical knowledge and practical experience in mechanical analysis and simulation. You will collaborate with design and R&D teams, develop test plans, and prepare detailed reports while contributing to innovative projects

Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in mechanical analysis.
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in mechanical systems analysis and simulation.
• Expert proficiency in FEA software (ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL) and CAD software.
• Strong understanding of continuum mechanics, material science, and failure analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress, strain, vibration, thermal, and fatigue analyses of mechanical systems.
• Develop and validate analytical models using FEA and other simulation techniques.
• Interpret simulation results and provide recommendations for design improvements.
• Collaborate with design and R&D teams to address performance issues and enhance reliability.
• Develop test plans for validating analytical models and system performance.
• Investigate field failures and perform root cause analysis of mechanical issues.
• Prepare detailed technical reports summarizing analysis findings and recommendations.
• Stay current with advancements in mechanical engineering analysis and simulation software.
• Communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
