Placements24 is seeking a skilled Remote Manufacturing Data Analyst to analyze complex datasets, develop dashboards, and provide insights that improve production efficiency and quality. You will partner with production, engineering, and management teams to translate data into actionable decisions while operating in a remote-first environment based in South Africa.

The role emphasizes data modeling, KPI visualization, and ongoing process optimization across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• Experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong proficiency with SQL, Python, R, Tableau or Power BI.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and production metrics.
• Ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience working remotely and managing time independently.
• Experience with statistical modeling and predictive analytics is a plus.
• Residence in South Africa or proximity to Klerksdorp preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and process large manufacturing datasets.
• Analyze data to identify patterns and trends in production performance.
• Develop dashboards and reports to visualize KPIs for production and quality.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and management to define data needs.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction via data insights.
• Develop predictive models to forecast output and optimize resource allocation.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across platforms.
• Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay updated on data analysis techniques and manufacturing tech.
• Support data-driven continuous improvement initiatives.
