Placements24 in South Africa seeks an experienced Management Accountant for a remote-first, international technology firm. You will deliver detailed management accounts, variance analyses, budgeting, and financial modeling within a global virtual team.

Candidates should have a CA(SA)/ACCA/CIMA or similar, a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 6+ years in management accounting, and strong Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and ERP experience (NetSuite, SAP Business One).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification (e.g., CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA) is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in management accounting or financial analysis.
• Proven experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP Business One) is essential.
• Strong understanding of business processes and KPIs.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
• High level of self-discipline, organization, and time management skills to succeed in a remote setting.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with a global team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and interpret complex financial information for operational and strategic decision-making.
• Prepare detailed monthly management accounts, variance analyses, and performance reports.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads across different time zones.
• Implement and maintain robust financial models to support business planning and performance tracking.
• Analyze profitability by product, service line, and customer segment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function, leveraging technology and automation.
• Manage the financial aspects of key projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and efficiency.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with financial policies.
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by senior management.
