Placements24 is seeking a sharp Remote Logistics Analyst to optimize supply chains from a fully remote position. You will analyze complex logistics data, identify inefficiencies, and develop strategic recommendations impacting transportation strategies and network design.

The role requires strong quantitative skills, Excel proficiency, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting with global stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics analysis, supply chain planning, or a related role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with logistics software, transportation management systems (TMS), or ERP systems.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Understanding of various transportation modes and international shipping complexities.
• Strategic thinking and the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
• Experience in network optimization or freight cost analysis is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Analyze transportation costs, carrier performance, and route efficiency to identify savings opportunities.
• Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards for logistics operations.
• Model and forecast capacity, equipment, and labor needs.
• Identify trends in logistics data to predict issues and propose proactive solutions.
• Evaluate and improve the company’s logistics network and processes.
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, sales, and carriers to implement optimized solutions.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support strategic decisions.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, technologies, and regulatory changes in logistics.
• Support new logistics software and systems implementations.
