Job summary

Hotsourced Ltd. is seeking a proactive Logistics & Operations Assistant to support daily transport and delivery operations for a fast-growing UK-based logistics start-up.

You will source transport quotes, negotiate rates, and coordinate bookings while communicating with customers, merchants, and courier partners. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in logistics or a fast-paced environment, excels in English communication, and can work independently from a remote South Africa

Qualifications

• 2+ years in logistics, operations, transport coordination, or a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English for UK-based customers and partners.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Experience coordinating bookings and managing multiple workflows.

Responsibilities

• Source, request, and compare transport quotations from courier/haulage partners.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms for best value.
• Schedule and coordinate bookings through transport management systems.
• Act as primary contact for customers, suppliers, and partners.
• Provide timely updates on schedules and changes to transport arrangements.
• Identify and resolve delays, route changes, and booking discrepancies.
• Handle inbound enquiries via phone and email professionally.
• Maintain accurate records of quotations, bookings, and carrier performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to process improvements.
