Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Logistics Coordinator to manage the movement of goods from anywhere in South Africa. You will coordinate shipments, track schedules, liaise with carriers, and resolve issues to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.

The role requires 2–3 years in logistics coordination, proficiency with logistics software and TMS, and strong organizational and communication skills for remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in logistics coordination or supply chain support.
• Proficiency with logistics software and TMS.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for remote collaboration.
• Familiarity with international shipping regulations and documentation is a plus.
• A dedicated home office setup with a reliable internet connection is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track shipments, ensuring adherence to delivery schedules and service level agreements.
• Communicate effectively with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal departments to manage logistics operations.
• Resolve shipping issues, delays, and damages promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and transportation costs within the company's systems.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs forms.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce logistics costs.
