Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Logistics Analyst to join its fully remote operations team in South Africa. You will analyze logistics data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels from a home office.

The role requires 3+ years in logistics analysis, strong data skills (Excel, SQL, Python/R) and experience with Tableau/Power BI. Excellent communication and independent work ability are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of logistics or supply chain analysis experience.
• Strong analytical skills with data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Python/R).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects remotely.

Responsibilities

• Analyze logistics data to identify patterns and cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for KPIs across transportation, warehousing, and inventory.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed logistics strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to translate business needs into analytical projects.
• Provide recommendations for routing, carrier selection, and network design.
• Stay updated on logistics and supply chain analytics best practices.
