Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Logistics Operations Specialist to manage and optimize the supply chain from anywhere. You will coordinate shipments, manage carrier relationships, and resolve disruptions to ensure timely deliveries for customers in the Western Cape region and beyond.

This fully remote role requires a self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with logistics software, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management.
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, freight management, and customs procedures.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in logistics management software and standard office applications.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote work environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end logistics operations, including planning, execution, and monitoring of shipments.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), carriers, and suppliers.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods, optimizing routes and transportation modes.
• Proactively identify and resolve logistical issues, providing solutions to minimize delays and disruptions.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics costs using company systems.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
