Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Logistics Coordinator to manage the movement of goods remotely from Centurion. You will optimize routes, coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, and liaise with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery across Gauteng and beyond.

The role requires strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills, with responsibilities spanning documentation, costs, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of shipping, freight forwarding and customs procedures.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage domestic and international shipments, including booking freight and preparing documentation.
• Track shipments in real-time and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and service providers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Resolve logistical issues or disruptions that may arise during transit.
• Maintain accurate records of logistics activities, including costs, transit times, and delivery performance.
• Liaise with customs brokers and ensure compliance with shipping regulations.
