Placements24 is seeking an experienced Legal Advisor specializing in litigation to join its remote legal team supporting operations based in Randburg. You will manage all aspects of dispute resolution from initial assessment through to resolution, develop legal strategies, instruct counsel, and safeguard the company’s interests in South Africa.

• Admitted attorney with at least 6 years' litigation experience.
• Deep knowledge of South African civil procedure and evidence law.
• Proven track record in complex commercial litigation and ADR.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the company's litigation portfolio across civil, commercial and contractual matters.
• Develop and implement strategies for ongoing and potential actions.
• Instruct external counsel and manage cost-effective handling of cases.
• Conduct legal research to support case preparation and provide strategic advice.
• Represent the company in mediations, arbitrations and other ADR forums.
• Ensure compliance with court rules, deadlines and procedures.
