Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an In-House Counsel specialized in Litigation and Compliance to join a fully remote legal team. The role focuses on managing diverse litigation matters, implementing compliance programs, and advising on risk in a remote work environment.

The ideal candidate will be Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with at least 5 years in litigation and regulatory compliance, capable of independent work and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with 5+ years of litigation and compliance experience.
• Proven ability to manage complex litigation from initiation to resolution and advise on risk.
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, compliance regulations, and remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee civil litigation, including discovery, motions, and settlement negotiations.
• Develop and implement robust compliance programs to ensure adherence to laws and regulations.
• Advise business units on potential legal risks and dispute strategies.
