Job summary

Placements24 seeks a diligent Legal Associate to join a progressive legal team. The role is primarily remote with occasional Centurion requirements, offering exposure across multiple legal domains and broad practical experience.

You will support senior staff in managing caseloads, conducting research, and ensuring documentation is accurate and compliant, while contributing to a culture of thoroughness and professional development.

Qualifications

• LLB or equivalent legal qualification.
• Admitted as a Legal Practitioner in South Africa.
• 1–3 years of post-admission experience in a legal practice.
• Strong research and writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Assist in preparing pleadings, contracts, and other legal documents.
• Organize and maintain case files with up-to-date documentation.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Support attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings.
