About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and tenacious Litigation Attorney to join their remote-first legal team. This position offers the unique opportunity to manage a diverse caseload of complex litigation matters from the comfort of your home office. You will be responsible for all phases of litigation, from initial case assessment and strategy development through to trial and post-judgment proceedings. The ideal candidate possesses strong advocacy skills, exceptional research abilities, and a proven track record of successfully representing clients in civil and commercial disputes, potentially impacting those associated with the Sandton legal landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of civil and commercial litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and settlements.
• Develop and execute effective litigation strategies tailored to specific case objectives.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis of case law, statutes, and evidence.
• Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.
• Draft compelling legal documents, briefs, and arguments for various proceedings.
• Advise clients on potential risks, liabilities, and strategic options throughout the litigation process.

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney with a minimum of 6 years of dedicated litigation experience.
• Demonstrated success in handling complex commercial litigation matters.

• Highly organized, self-disciplined, and capable of managing a demanding caseload remotely.
