Placements24 is seeking a passionate Lean Manufacturing Specialist to drive continuous improvement remotely for operations near Benoni. You will implement and refine Lean across production and supply chain, identify waste, and foster efficiency in a distributed work environment.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in Lean/CI, a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, and strong skills in 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping to deliver measurable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically in Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement roles.
• Proven experience leading Lean transformation projects and achieving measurable results.
• Strong understanding of all core Lean tools and methodologies.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and change management skills.
• Ability to drive initiatives and collaborate effectively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
• Conduct waste reduction analyses and implement strategies to eliminate non-value-added activities.
• Facilitate cross-functional teams in Kaizen events and improvement projects.
• Develop training materials and deliver workshops on Lean concepts to all levels of staff.
• Monitor performance metrics and report on the progress and impact of Lean initiatives.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving throughout the organization.
