Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Lean Manufacturing Specialist to drive continuous improvement on the Paarl production floor. You will implement lean principles, eliminate waste, and partner with operations to boost flow and value.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field, at least 4 years of hands-on lean experience, proven Kaizen facilitation skills, and strong communication and data-analysis abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience implementing lean manufacturing programs.
• Strong knowledge of lean tools and methodologies.
• Experience facilitating Kaizen events and leading cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and change-management skills.
• Data analysis and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and sustainment of lean manufacturing initiatives across all production areas.
• Facilitate Kaizen events and other continuous improvement workshops to identify and address waste.
• Develop and deliver training to employees on lean principles, tools, and methodologies.
• Conduct value stream mapping (VSM) to identify areas for improvement in material and information flow.
• Implement and monitor lean tools such as 5S, Kanban, SMED, and Poka-Yoke.
• Analyze performance data to track the effectiveness of lean initiatives and identify further opportunities.
