Job summary

Placements24 in Vereeniging is seeking an experienced Lean Manufacturing Engineer to drive lean adoption across our production facility. You will identify waste, improve process flow, and foster continuous improvement.

The role requires hands-on leadership in value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen events, Kanban, and TPM support, with a focus on training and coaching staff. Strong communication and change-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement roles.
• Experience with VSM, 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and Andon systems.
• Ability to lead Kaizen events and improvement projects.
• Strong manufacturing process knowledge and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead lean manufacturing initiatives, including Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen events, and Kanban systems.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Lean Manufacturing Engineer to join their progressive production facility in Vereeniging . This role is critical for driving the adoption and sustained implementation of lean principles throughout the manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for identifying waste, improving process flow, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of lean tools and techniques and a proven ability to lead change initiatives in a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate lean manufacturing initiatives, including Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen events, and Kanban systems.
• Analyze production processes to identify and eliminate non-value-added activities and waste.
