Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to join their fully remote team. The role focuses on design, analysis, and oversight of structural aspects for diverse building and infrastructure projects, with emphasis on leadership and project delivery.

The position supports collaboration with architects, contractors, and multiple engineering disciplines, while enabling a flexible remote work setup. The ideal candidate will bring a Master’s in Structural Engineering, Pr Eng with ECSA, 10+

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or closely related field.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA is essential.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in structural engineering design and project management.
• Extensive experience leading engineering teams and projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro and CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis for a variety of building and infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Manage structural engineering project timelines and deliverables.
• Oversee and mentor a team of structural engineers and technicians.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Perform structural reviews and quality assurance checks on designs.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Provide technical expertise and solutions to complex engineering challenges.
• Manage client relationships and participate in project meetings.
• Stay updated on advancements in structural engineering technology and practices.
