Placements24 seeks a Lead Structural Engineer to steer complex building and infrastructure projects from a remote SA base. You will lead design teams, ensure structural integrity and code compliance, mentor engineers, and collaborate with clients in a virtual environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in Structural Engineering, PEng with ECSA, 10+ years of experience, and strong skills in ETABS, SAP2000, Revit Structure and BIM.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PEng) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in structural engineering, with leadership experience.
• Experience managing large-scale, complex projects from concept to completion.
• Proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, Revit Structure and BIM technologies.
• Excellent knowledge of material behavior and design codes (SANS, Eurocodes).
• Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis of complex building and infrastructure projects.
• Manage and mentor a team of structural engineers and technicians.
• Develop innovative and cost-effective structural solutions using advanced analysis.
• Review and approve calculations, drawings and design reports.
